My therapy style is warm, collaborative, and supportive, with a focus on helping clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. Hope & Healing with Cara is currently a self-pay/out-of-pocket practice and does not bill insurance directly. Choosing self-pay allows for greater privacy, flexibility, and individualized care without insurance restrictions, diagnosis requirements, or limitations on the length or focus of treatment. Payment is due at the time of service, and a card on file is required prior to beginning services. If requested, a superbill may be available for clients interested in seeking possible out-of-network reimbursement through their insurance provider.

I work with adults 18+ navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress, emotional overwhelm, self-esteem concerns, and difficulties with coping or finding balance in daily life. I provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, build healthier patterns, and work toward meaningful healing and personal growth.

At this time, Hope & Healing with Cara provides therapy services exclusively through secure telehealth sessions. Online therapy offers flexibility, comfort, and convenience while allowing clients to access support from the privacy of their own space. Telehealth services are available to clients located in California and Iowa at the time of their session.

Therapy sessions are typically 45–60 minutes in length. Intake appointments may be longer to allow time to explore your history, current concerns, and goals for therapy in a supportive and thorough way. Session frequency is collaborative and based on your individual needs, goals, and preferences.

Sessions are tailored to your unique needs, goals, and pace, but most include a combination of supportive conversation, emotional processing, skill-building, and practical strategies for navigating challenges outside of therapy. Together, we may explore patterns in thoughts, emotions, relationships, past experiences, and coping styles while working toward greater self-understanding, healing, and meaningful change.

Depending on the concerns and severity of symptoms you are experiencing, I may also incorporate brief assessments for anxiety, depression, or other mental health symptoms at the beginning of our sessions throughout treatment. These assessments can help monitor symptom changes over time, guide treatment planning, and provide a helpful starting point for conversations about what may be contributing to improvements, setbacks, or ongoing challenges in your daily life.
